Warning system
In the event of large-scale fires, severe weather events or unexpected hazards, the KATWARN warning system ensures we are spared the worse effects of such disasters.
KATWARN sends public warnings and behavioral advice directly to the people affected. All warnings originate from government agencies or responsible safety and security organizations, who decide on the content, timing and extent of issued warnings. KATWARN was developed by Fraunhofer FOKUS on behalf of the German public insurance companies.
